| Second day of state sectionals. I placed 2nd in the triple jump with a 40' 5.75", which isn't too bad. First place was 41' 11.50". Whippany Park tied for 1st in the state section with McNair Academic, so we're North II Group I state sectional co-champions.

It's too bad that one person didn't get one point or something, because we could've actually won it. Perry lost the coin toss, so McNair gets that trophy, and we'll have ours shipped to us later. They were going to have a boxing match to the death on the pole vault mats but they decided not to because the male head coach of McNair's boys' team was afraid to fight against a woman. | | |
| First day of state sectionals. We're group I this year so I placed 6th in long jump with 18' 2.50". I tied for 5th, but they said that we can't have ties so they took our second best jumps and the other guy had the better one. Then, they gave me the wrong medal so they called me back like 5 minutes later to switch. So I only got 1 point for the team, in the end. Hopefully tomorrow, I'll do a lot better in triple jump.

| Second day of County Championships was postponed to today. All I did was long jump. I started out crappy with a 17' 10.5" or something and it got crappier to a 17' 5" or something. They were so bad, I stopped listening before the fractions of inches. Then I figured that since I've been practicing triple jump so much and getting out, that I probably wasn't getting up enough. And sure enough, when I jumped up and tried to hang for a bit longer, I jumped 18' 11". It's not a PR, but I was satisfied with it. Still, that's 21st in the county, which is pretty low, considering I was 7th for triple jump. I dunno, but I think that a lot of good triple jumpers tend to not be as good in long jump. Maybe that's just an oversimplification and a bad excuse for my lack of skill in long jump.
